Dear all Please find attached an updated programme. I have changed a few presentations on request and in a “blond moment” forgot to add Michael Reissners presentations - sorry about that and if I have left out anybody else please let me know Are there volunteers to act as chairs for the sessions? If so please let me know and also it would be helpfull if you can indicate who wants to join the dinner at a cost of euro20 per person so Raquel can plan on it soon - only a few have responded See you in Cape Town By the way there questions about the tour on the Tuesday - we have already booked a bus and trust that the weather will be fine. The Cape weather can be 3 seasons in one day and is unpredictable and 2 weeks in advance nobody really knows what it will be like Thanks Frans

Dear all I trust all are well and I just want to give some information regarding the upcoming ISIAME in Cape Town. I am currently in Cape Town as co- host of the Pittsburgh Coal Conference and when checking the hotel where ISIAME is to be held, want to warn those living far from the hotel ie the Lagoon Beach hotel, it might take some time to get to the Townhouse hotel as traffic is very busy early in the mornings into town Raquel Richardson, who assists me with theses arrangements, is also here and she said that those living out of Cape Town and still want to ensure a hassle free time she will try to assist with cancellations to get a hotel closer to the venue Please do not hesitate to contact me or raquel if more information is needed Frans

Dear all,
I am very glad that all the comments, advices, quick support and willingness of the organizers to go on will allow us to meet as planned in South Africa for another ISIAME symposion/forum. Thanks to all.
Dear Frans
Where are you?
The arrangments for the Welcome Reception on 4 September is more or less confirmed, but I need to know the number of participants to plan for.
Therefore, kindly send me the list of particpants who have already registered.
Also please email me copies of the submitted abstracts so that I can start working on the scientific programme.
Regards
Krish.
Greetings John and Colleagues
As many of us, I am very sad looking at a so incredible failure of an ISIAME meeting. The aim of my idea was to try to save the conference. I understand that this is probably an impossible task and that the John’ proposal is probably the only one that have some possibilities. I will be in Cape Town and will do my best for contributing to the success of the forum on the future of the industrial applications of MS.
Dear allThanks for the support Frank. I have spoken today to Raquel
again after virtually no contact possibilities the last week. I am in
Namibia busy with a project and will have email contact on my mobile
phone until tomorrow evening when I will be back with my student in the
field.I fully support the idea to keep ISIAME going and will again
highlight certain points mentioned previously1. The venue is not the
main issue but I had to cancel the Lagoon beach due to lack of funding.
Raquel will look into other options when I am still away and will also
liase with Krish about Ithemba labs, but I must mention it is some
distance away and there is no accomodation at the labs and I think it
might be difficult to get everyone there. The hotel costs he mentions is
about the same but then we have to organize some transport to and from
the venue.2. To have a usefull symposium we need much more abstracts.
With the initial deadline we had about 20 and with the extention only a
few additional ones came in - that being the main reason for me to
suggest cancellation. I am back on 10 July and if we have received at
least a much bigger amount to make a worthwhile symposium possible I
will be just as happy to get the wheels rolling. To have 30 or so papers
(currently about a 3rd as posters) means a 1 day symposium which is just
not on for all the expenses one has to pay.3. At the early bird
registration up to date only 11 people registered and we need more than
4 to 5 times this amount of registered people to again ensure a
worthwhile symposium.4. Raquel is going out of her way to assist and
without her help it would not be possible to get the ball rolling again
- thanks again.I trust this email will help to get everobody on board.
It has never been my intention to not let ISIAME go on but I was
dissilutioned with the poor respons for everything already done.Frans
Dear all We are about half-way there - thanks for all the abstracts - but we need more and thus we have extended the deadline a bit Please come and join us at a wonderful symposium in a wonderful city Cape Town We are awaiting all the Abstracts!! Frans Waanders

Dear colleagues,
the msms2016 web page was updated. Even though the deadline for registration is over you can still register at www.spektroskopia.sk/msms2016. When considering your participation note that full board costs are also included in the participation fee.
Even though poster session is not planned those who do not wish to have oral presentation can bring an electronic poster, i.e. automated Power Point presentation which will be made available to the participants.
