Dear all,
during the annual ESRF User Meeting 5 - 7 February 2018
(http://www.esrf.eu/UM2018) we will again organize a one day
Nuclear Resonance Tutorial:
“Nuclear Resonance Applications including hands-on practicals”
(see http://www.esrf.eu/UM2018/tutorials)
Organiser: Dimitrios Bessas, Aleksandr Chumakov, Rudolf R¼ffer, ESRF,
Monday 5 February: 9h00 - 18h00
This hands-on tutorial will
- give an introduction to the capabilities of the Nuclear Resonance
beamline (ID18) with special emphasis to Moessbauer spectroscopy
with the synchrotron Moessbauer source (SMS) in the energy domain,
Dear colleagues,
the next ISIAME conference will be held in Olomouc, Czech Republic, since 6th
September to 11th September 2020. The website with basic information about
the conference is at the address http://isiame2020.upol.cz/.
The Forum and meeting of the SEC were held on the ISIAME 2016 in Cape Town. A
report from these events is attached. On behalf of the SEC of ISIAME
conference and accordingly to conclusions of the Forum, I would like to
kindly ask you to suggest suitable candidates for the International Advisory
Committee (IAC). The members of IAC should be researches that have strong
connections to industrial world or coming directly from industry. They will
be asked to suggest ways of realization of the ISIAME conference and indicate
the invited speakers associated with the industry, in order to attracting
attention of the industrial world and thus stimulate their participation.
Please send me suggestions of the IAC candidates together with their
professional profiles till the end of February 2018. A candidate must agree
with his/her nomination. The SEC of ISIAME will then decide about their
membership in the IAC.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Libor Machala, chair of the local organizing committee of ISIAME 2020

Dear Colleagues,
many of you have already successfully registered and created their entry in the new directory of the Mössbauer Effect Data Center (MEDC). Nevertheless, there seem to be several misunderstandings about how to use the new system. Admittedly, the new directory is not yet really user-friendly and may still have some bugs or, at least, strange features, a reason for apologies. This is why the directory is in test regime. In the following, I shall briefly describe how to register and to create your entry in the new MEDC Directory. Please join the directory; it will really not take more than a few minutes to create your entry.
Dear Colleagues,
below please find a re-posted message originally published in MIX on 30 August 2015. Unfortunately, during the first period of the test regime of the new MEDC Directory some system instabilities were experienced that resulted in the fact that numerous users who started registering, never received the validation e-mail.
These problems seem now to have been solved and, therefore, we invite again all Mössbauer spectroscopists and colleagues interested in or related to the applications of the Mössbauer Effect to join the new MEDC Directory.
Dear colleagues,
let me kindly inform you that the conference ISIAME 2020 will be held in
Olomouc, Czech Republic, September 6 - 11, 2020.
