Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you all to participate in 5th Mediterranean Conference on the Applications of The Mossbauer Effect and 41st Workshop of the French speaking Group of Mössbauer Spectroscopy that will be held from 19 to 23 May 2019, Montpellier, France.
MECAME 2019 is organized in the honor of professor Jean-Claud Jumas, Institut Charles Gerhardt, CNRS, University of Montpellier, France for his contribution in the application of Mossbauer spectroscopy in different fields, and especially catalysis and Li-ion batteries.
Corrigendum (I forgot to mention that I will be the Guest Editor of the SAA
Special Issue…)
Thus, the text to be distributed should be as follows:
On 9-14 June 2019, in Mexico city, Mexico, the Colloquium Spectroscopicum
Internationale XLI will be held. It is a well-known scientific forum and one
of the greatest spectroscopic congresses on all kinds of analytical
spectroscopy (see the website: http://www.csi2019mexico.com/ ). Among its
sectional topics, the “Nuclear Techniques” session is planned which includes
(although is not limited by) Mossbauer spectroscopy as well as its
applications.
Besides abstracts which will be published in the electronic form, full papers
submitted by registered participants and accepted after peer-review will be
published in Virtual Special issues of the journals Spectrochim. Acta Part
A: Mol. Biomol. Spectrosc. (on results obtained mainly using molecular
spectroscopy techniques, including Mossbauer spectroscopy) and Spectrochim.
Acta Part B: Atom. Spectrosc. (both published by “Elsevier”).
The deadline for abstract submission is 8 March 2019. All other information
can be found on the website.
It is worth mentioning that Spectrochim. Acta Part A: Mol. Biomol.
Spectrosc. (which will publish peer-reviewed and accepted full papers,
including those on Mossbauer spectroscopy, as a Virtual Special Issue) has an
Impact factor of 2.88 (Clarivate Analytics, 2017) and is ranked by Web of
Science as a journal of the first quartile (Q1).
All members of the international Mossbauer community are welcome to submit
their abstracts, register for the CSI XLI Congress and plan submitting your
contributions to the journal.
Dear MERDC Colleagues,
May I kindly draw your attention to the information which, as I see it, may
be worth
distributing via the M I X - B U L L E T I N.
Best regards,

Dear Colleagues,
We would like to invite you to participate at the International Conference on
the Applications of the Mössbauer Effect (ICAME 2019) which will take place
in Dalian, China September 01-06, 2019.
The main topics of the Conference will be:
T01: Magnetism and solid-state physics
T02: Thin films and nanostructures
T03: Materials science and industrial applications
T04: Biological and medical applications
T05: Chemistry
T06: Earth science, mineralogy, cultural heritage and environmental science
(some might receive this message via multiple lists – apologies for this
cross-posting, it will happen at most once a year)
Dear Mössbauer colleagues,
On 11 February 2019, a new edition of http://www.hyperfinecourse.org will
start. It is a free open online course about the physics of hyperfine
interactions and experimental methods based thereupon (including Mössbauer
spectroscopy, among several others). You can take this course self-paced at
any time of the year, or - if you start on Feb 11 - you can take it in sync
with students at Ghent University. In the latter case, you can ask questions
and get feedback just as these students do.
Dear Colleagues,
For all who may not have yet received notifications about Radioanalytical
And Nuclear Chemistry Conference in Budapest between 5-10 May 2019 with
scheduled separate MĂśssbauer session(s):
Let me forward to you Prof. Revay’s message about further extension of the
abstract deadline of RANC:
*****************************************************************Dear Friends
of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry,
The abstract submission deadline for RANC-2019 has just been extended until
15th of February.
Come and join us to celebrate the 50the anniversary of J Radioanal Nucl Chem
and to meet the community of radiochemist at one of their largest meetings in
one of the most beautiful cities of the world.

Dear Colleagues,
Registration is now open for the Workshop on Nuclear Resonance Scattering at
the Extremely Brilliant Source
(Grenoble, ESRF, 11-12 March 2019).
Please register and, if you wish to present a poster, provide your poster
title via the electronic registration
https://events.esrf.fr/misapps/workshops-web/index.jsp
Deadline: 10 February 2019.
You can find all information on the workshop web page
http://www.esrf.fr/nrs-workshop
We are looking forward to discussion on possible applications at ultra-high
spatial (100 nm) and energy (50 micro-eV) resolutions. We also hope to
benefit from your analysis of previous scientific breakthroughs in Nuclear
Resonance Scattering, and look at new routes for scientific development.
Dear Colleagues,
as you surely know, ESRF has recently been shut down for 18 months for its major upgrade Extreme Brilliant Source (EBS). ESRF is organizing a series of “EBS Workshops” in 2019 (https://www.esrf.eu/EBSworkshops2019). These workshops will cover a multitude of topics, with the aim of gathering together users, staff and other experts to discuss and identify strategies for performing the best experiments with this new source.
The workshop devoted to the possibilities of nuclear resonant scattering (https://www.esrf.eu/nrs-workshop) will be held on 11-12 March in Grenoble. Among other speakers, I have been invited to give a talk and to contribute to identifying key scientific cases which will benefit most from nuclear resonance scattering with the EBS. I would like to ask you to come up with your ideas that could be included in my presentation. Indeed, I am convinced that the workshop should discuss as much of the ideas of the whole international Mössbauer community as possible.
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the organizers of ICAME2019, I would like sincerely send all of

We the organizers are happy to let you know that we have already announced
the invited speakers of the IBAME Science Award 2019 and the IBAME Young
Scientist Award 2019, their participation will be confirmed soon. The detail,
please visit of the website: (http://icame2019.csp.escience.cn/dct/page/65581
). We the organizers will also soon announce the invited speakers and
tutorial speakers by very carefully considering the recommended candidates of
the IPC of ICAME 2019.
