Dear colleagues,
The next International Conference “Mössbauer Spectroscopy and Its
Applications” (ICMSA-2020) will be held in Ekaterinburg, Russian Federation
on September 13-18, 2020. The Conference site is http://icmsa.ru/?q=en. You
can visit and register at this site.
For colleagues who will be interesting in participation at both the
ISIAME 2020 in Olomouc and the ICMASA-2020 in Ekaterinburg, there are
direct flights Prague-Ekaterinburg every day except Monday.
We will be very glad to meet you in Ekaterinburg in September.
(some might receive this message via multiple lists – apologies for this
cross-posting, it will happen at most once a year)
On 12 February 2020, a new edition of http://www.hyperfinecourse.org will
start. It is a free open online course about the physics of hyperfine
interactions and experimental methods based thereupon. You can take this
course self-paced at any time of the year, or - if you start on Feb 12 or
before - you can take it in sync with students at Ghent University. In the
latter case, you can ask questions and get feedback just as these students do.
Dear Colleagues,
I would like to draw your attention to the Special Issue of Int. J. Molec. Sci. (Web of Sci. quartile: Q1; IF = 4.183) which will include peer- reviewed and accepted papers on using molecular spectroscopy techniques (including, but not necessarily, Mossbauer spectroscopy) in the biomedical fields, which I guest-edit. The scope is intentionally broad, with a deadline for submissions set up on 31 May 2020 (all accepted papers will be published immediately upon acceptance and then, after the deadline, grouped online in a Virtual Special Issue).
Dear all,
I take the liberty to use this mailing list to announce that the journal Metals (ISSN 2075-4701; IF: 2.259) is currently running a special issue entitled “Mössbauer Analysis Applied to Metals, Alloys and Compounds”. I am serving as Guest Editor for this issue.
In this collection we aim to showcase excellent work being carried out in this field. It will be incomplete without your contribution. Please see the following link to read its scope:
Dear colleagues,
on behalf of Local Organizing Committee and International Advisory Committee,
you are cordially invited to participate the International Symposium on the
Industrial Applications of the Mössbauer Effect (ISIAME 2020), which will be
held in Olomouc, Czech Republic, since 6th to 11th September 2020. Please
find actual information on the websites
http://isiame2020.upol.cz«http://isiame2020.upol.cz/registration.html>>
It is my pleasure to inform you that online registration and abstracts
submission will be opened since 1st January 2020. You can use direct links to
get there:
Dear Colleagues,
as previously announced, the video records of the presentations of the Symposium of the Network of Hungarian Mössbauer Laboratories SNHML 2019 (Wigner RCP, Budapest, 3 October 2019) have now been made available at
http://mffo.rmki.kfki.hu/network_mossbauer
The mp4 files can be watched and/or downloaded by clicking the link “Video record” after the presentations.
Thank you for the numerous feedback mails that we received after the live stream. We will do our best to take into account your suggestions to improve the quality of the broadcast next time (e.g., by using an electronic pointing device, by showing people asking questions, etc.).
Dear colleagues,
The next International Conference on Advanced MAterials, Nanosciences and
Applications (ICAMANA 2019) will be organised
in Dec 2019 in Oujda, Morocco.
It will be coupled to a Training School on Spectroscopies for Environment
and Nanochemistry where Mössbauer spectroscopy will have a special coverage,
after the successful event organised in 2017 in Beni-Mellal (GFSM 2017).
Several renowned speakers belonging to the Mössbauer community have already
confirmed their participation including : Junhu WANG (DICP Dalian, MEDC),Jean
Marc GRENECHE (IBAME Vice chair, Le Mans),
Pierre Emmanuel LIPPENS (Montpellier), Tadeusz SZUMIATA (URadon, Poland),
Jean-Marie GENIN …
Dear Colleagues,
as a new initiative within the international Mössbauer community, the Symposium of the Network of Hungarian Mössbauer Laboratories was broadcast via live stream a few hours ago. We have already received several very positive feedbacks and also a suggestions, namely to make the recorded talks accessible.
In fact, the talks have been recorded and will be made available along with the presentations. Nevertheless, this needs still some additional editorial work so that the publication can be expected around mid-October only. A corresponding announcement will appear on MIX.
Dear Colleagues,
this is just a reminder that the live stream of the Symposium of the Network of Hungarian Mössbauer Laboratories will start within two hours at
https://mcu.niif.hu/live/play/325-1066-7723
(“Magyar Mössbauer Laboratóriumok Hálózatának Találkozója”)
To start the live stream, just click the start button. You may switch to full- screen mode any time, should you wish so.
With best regards,
Dénes L. Nagy
Editor, MIX
