June 6-7, 1960 Fifty years ago, the first Conference on Mössbauer
Effect was held during these days at the University of Illinois. It was
published as Mössbauer Effect; Recoilless Emission and Absorption of Gamma
Rays, H. Frauenfelder and H. Luster, Ed., AF-TN 60-698, and is known as “The
First Mössbauer Conference Report”.
